"Never underestimate consistency. It's what solidifies your message. By staying consistent in your brand and message, you create a rhythm for clients to know and refer you."

The soapbox I stand on is never underestimate consistency. It's what solidifies your message. By staying consistent in your brand and message, you create a rhythm for clients to know and refer you.

Why Consistency Matters

Consistent branding and messages will engage your audience. Through this repetition, they know what to expect of you. Stick to what you commit to—you won't see results overnight. You cut through the noise by being consistent. It's called frequency when your message shows up in front of a prospect in multiple ways—a digital ad, an email, a magazine article, or an e-blast. It takes 20+ times to see/hear the same message before others pay attention.

Sporadic tactics and branding won't cut it—that dilutes your overall message. What happens is sometimes you're one thing, sometimes you're another, and your audience doesn't know what you are.

Sometimes, you show up with a blog post, and sometimes, you are in Instagram stories—your people don't know where or when you'll show up. Consistency helps shape familiarity.

Familiarity is comfortable for your audience. They want to know what to expect. Even unpredictable brands have the familiarity of being unpredictable. When a crazy idea comes out of MrBeast, we're not surprised. Shocked, maybe, but not caught off guard.

Follow the Road Map

Set a foundation or road map to keep you in line with consistent marketing. This will keep you on track for what activities you are doing and when. These are the steps to get your message out to your audience.

You may produce a monthly e-newsletter that is emailed and posted to your website and social media platforms. You can use the same content to create short videos and quote graphics. It doesn't have to be time-consuming or difficult. Just planned.

Start with one thing and master that, then add more. Get comfortable with repetition before adding a new routine. When you have a strong foundation, you can build on it. I'll also never stop saying, "Stick to what you commit to."

Conclusion: With a road map to follow you can stay in your lane. You give your audience predictability and familiarity and set yourself as a trustworthy brand. One they can count on. Ready to build your foundation or hone in on consistency in your marketing and message? Schedule a free consultation to see if you are ready to get clear and consistent on your marketing to drive revenue.
